With three years of experience guiding cyclists through the breathtaking landscapes of Costa Rica, Andrey is passionate about sharing the beauty of riding in Las Catalinas with others.
Andrey is not just an experienced guide; he is a true outdoor enthusiast. Growing up in Heredia, Costa Rica, he learned to ride bikes on the coffee farms with his cousins. His love for nature shines through in everything he does, whether he’s navigating the trails or watching the sunsets over the water. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Andrey ensures that every rider feels comfortable and understood on the trail.
His commitment to safety is paramount—he believes that enjoying the beauty of nature should go hand-in-hand with responsible riding.
The Las Catalinas trails have breathtaking vistas and intermediate terrain. He loves to highlight the trails' flora and fauna. A memorable moment for Andrey was when he guided a family who wanted to see monkeys in their natural habitat. Luckily the monkeys cooperated and the family was able to see the Howler monkeys in their natural habitat on the ride.
What really sets Andrey apart as a guide is his enthusiasm and gratitude for the trails. Whether it's the refreshing rain or Thursday night rides, he approaches each journey with a sense of excitement that is contagious. His favorite part about working at Pura Vida Ride is the energy of the store, the engaging interactions with customers, and, of course, the beautiful trails right behind the shop.
