Pura Vida Ride is located on the beach at Las Catalinas, Costa Rica. Las Catalinas maintains 40 km of world-class coastal single-track mountain bike trails with scenic ocean views that will astound you.  These trails have been under construction since 2010 and each year the trail system expands and matures.  Our trails are an average of 3-4 feet wide and are built to largely comply with IMBA trail design standards.

Our Trails 

Riders can access the trail system directly from the shop, where staff provide bikes, helmets, and trail maps to get started. Guided rides are also available with our experienced staff for those who want local expertise. 

1.5 Hour Mountain Bike Ride On Las Catalinas Single Track Trails

Explore about 12 km of single track trail starting steps away from Pura Vida Ride.  We’ll deck you out with a helmet and a hard tail mountain bike, from our high end inventory and show you some of the most majestic views from single track coastal trails in all of Costa Rica.  This ride lasts approximately 1.5 hours.  

$100/person 2 or more. $150/person single.  (Full suspension bike is an extra $45)

2.5 Hour Mountain Bike Ride On Las Catalinas Single Track Trails

For the more experienced riders, explore about 25 km of single track trail at Las Catalinas.  We’ll deck you out with a helmet and a hard tail mountain bike, from our high end inventory and show you some of the most majestic views from single track coastal trails in all of Costa Rica.  This ride lasts approximately 2.5 hours.  

$125/person 2 or more. $195/person single. (Full suspension bike is an extra $45)

Old School Guanacaste Full Day Ride

From our backyard at Pura Vida Ride, take a ride 100 years back in time on our Old School Guanacaste Adventure! Experience architecture, towns, and scenery that few get to see on their travels. Climb high passes followed by technical single track, leisurely country roads, amazing waterfalls with swimming holes, lots of exciting river crossings and more! We’ll see majestic Guanacaste trees and strangler figs, Pochotes, and other local tree species. This trip lasts 5-7 hours and is for advanced riders.
