If you’ve spent time at our Marina shop, chances are you’ve met Dennis—our manager and longtime team member who brings both professionalism and warmth to everything he does.
Dennis has called Potrero home his entire life, and his family has lived here for more than 120 years, dating back to the late 1800s. Having witnessed firsthand the town’s transformation, he appreciates the new education and job opportunities that growth has brought, while also recognizing the challenges—such as rising costs of living and the need for better infrastructure.

We opened our store in December with one goal: to bring something new and useful to Playas del Coco. We are not just another beach shop, but a place where locals, tourists, and outdoor lovers can find quality gear, cool clothing, and essentials that actually work for life on the coast. Pura Vida Ride is a coffee shop on the beach at Playa Danta in Las Catalinas, Costa Rica. Being part of the Las Catalinas development has been a stroke of luck for us, given its unwavering commitment to the trail system since day one. What initially started as 2 km of trails when we first opened our shop has now blossomed into 35 km of trails today. This means you get to decide the length of your ride! Whether you opt for a quick 1-hour loop to squeeze in a dynamic workout before hitting the beach or you dedicate your entire morning to exploring both the front and backside of the mountain, the choice is yours.
